Good reasons abound for an academic institution to align themselves with a professional New York theatre company and employ a professional director and instructors. Professional New York artists can bring a range of skills and experience to a program that are different than those of a regular faculty member or academic instructor. Programs that you thought too complex or demanding to produce can be realized with the aid of Group Theatre Too’s staff and specialized expertise.
New choices create incredible possibilities in student education and of course a better production means a more engaged audience with higher attendance and powerful program growth. Not only does GTT enhance the production and classroom experience but becomes an extraordinary resource for students and faculty alike. Faculty members enjoy the new perspectives and the added experience that New York guest artists bring to practice. The Group Theatre Too and it’s staff can become an associate, a colleague, and a lasting resource long after the production and educational arts program has ceased.
