THE STORY: A tap-dancing writer's Broadway ambitions are thwarted because his new musical lacks a real love story. Forced to develop the show at a performing arts camp full of spoiled, rich, and in some cases neglected stars of tomorrow, he finds he can no longer tap-dance around his issues and succumbs to the true call of his heart. THE STORY:
Ebenezer Scrooge is a lonely, penny-pinching miser in this lively, festive musical adaptation of the Dickens Christmas classic. Infused with traditional and new music this beloved story comes to life as the "bah and humbugging" Scrooge laments that Christmas is merely 'a time for finding yourself a year older, and not an hour richer'. Later that Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his long-dead business partner Jacob Marley who forwarns of the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. His journey is one of regret, fear and remorse that finds hims gloriously reformed and sending his slave-like worker Bob Cratchit's family a plump turkey while joyously dancing and singing his way through Christmas Day with his nephew, Fred, whom he had previously shunned. Generously raising Bob Cratchit's salary and pledging to help Tiny-Tim, Bob's crippled son, Scrooge ends up "as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the old city knew"!
